We stayed in Villa Elena. We only needed two bedrooms, but the hosts were gracious and let us use one bedroom on the first floor and the attic. While the bedrooms are small (but functional), the attic is large and very, very pretty. The size of the bedrooms however is irrelevant, as the rest of the house is really beautiful and that’s where one would want to spend the time. The winter garden was stunning, full of orchids, facing the forest with its own tv, sound system, breakfast place, massage chair etc. We travelled with my parents who were very happy to spend most of our stay in the winter garden. The winter garden is heated, in fact, there is no door between the kitchen/lounge and the garden. If anything, we found the house on the hot side. The whole house and the garden were spotless and the breakfast made to order and delicious. While there were small things that one would probably have in the kitchen by default (salt, pepper, a bit of oil etc), the hosts were more than willing to bring them over if we needed them. They went to the shops for us when we forgot to buy bread, brought us extra wine glasses, etc. The hosts were beyond accommodating and were there for us when we needed them. They live in the villa next door, and can be reached by phone. They are close, but the villa is entirely private. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but if travelling by car that is not an issue at all; location only adds a couple of minutes to the drive. I could not recommend the place highly enough!
